Make Money Blogging

Blogging is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. Blogging today has become the easiest way to make a website and make money online. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects.

A key to making money blogging is to “blog” and make a website about something you are passionate about. It’s best to find a specific topic and avoid topics that are highly saturated with other blogs and web sites. Once you start your blog, plan on putting working on it for a while before making a lot of money. The biggest mistake that new bloggers make is to think they’ll put up a couple articles and they’ll suddenly make a fortune.

Making money from blogging depends a lot on the traffic you get. The more traffic the more profitable your blog.

Spend time every week adding content to your site. Take time tofind other blogs that are in your market space and add thoughtful comments to their discussions. Sometimes, when appropriate, link back to your own articles, but other times add your own comments just to participate in the ongoing discussion and, yes, gain some visibility in your marketspace.

Over time you’ll gain a reputation as a credible expert and people will start checking out your blog to see what you have to say. Then you’ll have gained traffic and visibility in your market segment, which is where it’s most important anyway.

Many blogs, forums, informational sites, sports sites, cooking sites etc. get thousands of visitors per day simply because they have content that their audience wants to read about. They are popular because of their content, not because they are able to trick the search engines into placing them near the top.
